Do you know where the expression “surfing the Internet” comes from?
The expression originally comes from Vint Cerf one of the founders of the Internet.
Vint Cerf said it best, “They say a year in the Internet business is like a dog year.. equivalent to seven years in a regular person's life. In other words, it's evolving faster and faster.”
Because the Internet is evolving at such a rapid pace it is almost impossible to replicate its behaviour in a lab setting. We have found the only effective way to study it is in the real world.
Across the WSI global network, we conduct 10,000+ internet conversion research projects a year with our research partners.
Why are WSI looking for Research Partners?
The Internet is a complex organism, changing dramatically as it develops, and it must be studied in its own environment. WSI has learned over many projects that research analysis has to be done in the 'real' world.
Data from these research projects helps us to understand consumer behaviour better, and this research can assist with the future work we do for our clients.
What is a Research Partner?
A Research Partner is a company that:
- wants to drastically increase Internet Traffic Conversion.
- will either require new Internet Marketing strategies, or will need to make adjustments to their existing models.
- participates in a microtest.
As a result, the partner gains significant revenue improvements, and WSI gains valuable research data.
Our focus is not the size of the company, but the scope of the research project. The improved conversion achieved helps both large and small companies. Although we try not to set false expectations, many of our partners experience revenue increases of 200-300%.
How to apply
Because we only accept 2 new research partners per month in this research centre, we are only able to approve less than 20% of the candidates who apply.
